This paper details control strategies for the assiduous marshalling of storage devices, addressing the diverse operational modes of microgrids. The system consists of a programmable logic source and variable 10 kW and 5 kW loads on the grid side. The microgrid consists of a battery source, an inverter and an AC load with the same ratings as in the grid. The microgrid has two modes of operation — On-grid mode and Off-grid mode.
