A voltage abnormality degree is defined for battery safety issue detection. Detecting battery safety issues is essential to ensure safe and reliable operation of electric vehicles (EVs). This paper proposes an enabling battery safety issue detection method for real-world EVs through integrated battery modeling and voltage abnormality detection.
However, for some safety issues such as ISC and ESC, no fixed standard value exists. To address this problem, some studies have deployed expert systems , and fuzzy logic to determine appropriate thresholds for battery safety issue detection.
This paper presents a battery safety issue detection method based on voltage abnormality and integrated battery modeling. Firstly, a battery voltage abnormality degree is defined. Then an integrated battery model is proposed by combining an electrochemical model, an equivalent circuit model, and a data-driven model.
